Job summary

MTrec Ltd Technical is recruiting a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician for a permanent role in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The role covers maintenance and servicing of production and site equipment, fault finding, and driving CI initiatives to improve equipment reliability.

The successful candidate will hold an ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, be mechanically focused, and enjoy working in a close team within a growing family business. 2-shift pattern applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Mechanically biased/multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers from FMCG/high-volume manufacturing.
• Good at problem solving with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and site facility equipment.
• Service and fault-find on production equipment and facilities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the engineering team on site projects.
• Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and safe working practices.

Our clients are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has the required skillset.

Working a 2 shift system 6-2 / 2-10.

The Job you'll do

• Maintenance of production and site facility equipment.
• Servicing of production and site facility equipment.
• Fault finding and diagnosis.
• Continuous improvement of equipment & associated engineering project work
• Maintenance of production and site facilities
• Ensure timely and effective remedial repairs are delivered to blending, production and all other site facility equipment.
• Ensure professional repair standard adherence and compliance with all H&S legislation requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene to Engineering areas to ensure safety standard compliance.
• Servicing of production and site facility equipment
• Ensure timely and effective equipment maintenance and servicing is completed to production equipment.
• Identify and resolve any equipment or material issues in a timely manner.
• Continuous improvement of equipment
• Promote, develop, and implement initiatives raised through a structured CI process.
• 5Associated Project Work
• Identify and implement minor project initiatives to completion.
• Support the engineering team in any major site projects.

About You

• The successful candidate will be educated to Minimum ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• The role would suit candidates who are Mechanically biased/multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers from a FMCG/high volume manufacturing environment (ideally food or packaging).
• Good at problem solving with a flexible and can do attitude who is proactive, outgoing, and enjoy working as part of a close team.
