Job summary

Supersede Recruitment Partners is seeking a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for a food manufacturing site. The role focuses on maintaining and improving plant performance, with a strong emphasis on PPMs and reliability, in a fast-paced factory environment.

The ideal candidate has multi-skilled capabilities, experience in FMCG, and familiarity with CMMS. Training production staff and collaborating with engineering and production teams are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in food/FMCG/manufacturing with PPMs.
• Multiskilled capabilities across electrical and mechanical domains.
• Familiarity with CMMS and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve plant/equipment performance (reactive and PPM).
• Perform RCA across the factory to identify root causes.
• Complete short/long term fixes for breakdowns and schedule PMs.
• Provide high quality engineering support to production teams.
• Log downtime accurately and drive improvements to reduce repair times.
• Train production staff on maintenance practices.

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - multiple roles available

Continental shifts (4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights)

£55k

Both electrical and mechanical bias required

Due to exceptional recent growth, my client who are an award winning, nationally recognised food manufacturer, are seeking a number of Multi Skilled Engineers to join their large engineering team

It is an ideal role for a multi-skilled / mechanical / electrical engineer with a passion for improvements and improving reliability in a factory setting.

Typical responsibilities include –

• Maintain and enhance the performance of plant and equipment (both reactive and PPM)
• Establishing root cause analysis (RCA) throughout the factory
• Both short and long term fixes across all breakdowns
• Planned Preventive maintenance, complete all allocated P.M.'s in the set time frame
• Providing a high quality engineering service to both engineering and production teams
• Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged, monitor repair times, and find new methods / procedures to reduce these
• Training Production staff

The ideal candidate will be –

• An engineer with a background in the food, FMCG or manufacturing industry, with good experience of carrying out PPMs
• Ideally multiskilled
• Strong mechanical understanding and appreciation
• A passion for reliability / improvements. Experience in this field is not a necessity as full training is offered, what is required is an interest to develop in the field
• Experience with CMMS
