Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a night shift in Devon. You will provide hands-on maintenance across manufacturing, automation and facility equipment, focusing on electrical fault-finding and proactive maintenance.

The role supports continuous improvement and requires a strong bias toward electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis. The position runs Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am, with a salary of £47,500 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good mechanical maintenance and fault-finding abilities.
• Competence with pneumatics, hydraulics and variable speed drives.
• Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to structured fault-find and contribute to RCA.
• Proactive and methodical problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance across manufacturing, automation and facility equipment.
• Maintain equipment uptime and respond to breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement across the site.
• Operate with strong electrical bias diagnosing faults in machinery, drives and safety circuits.

As part of the Engineering team, the business is now seeking a Night Shift Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide hands‑on maintenance support across a range of manufacturing, automation and facility equipment. Working closely with the Maintenance Team Leader and Production teams, you will play a key role in maintaining equipment uptime, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance and supporting ongoing continuous improvement across the site. The role will have a strong electrical bias, with responsibility for diagnosing and resolving faults across machinery, drives, safety circuits and ancillary equipment, alongside mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance. Skills & Experience Needed:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, processing or similar environment.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic experience.
• Good mechanical maintenance and fault‑finding skills.
• Competence with pneumatics, hydraulics and variable speed drives.
• Experience carrying out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Ability to carry out structured fault‑finding and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive and methodical approach.
