Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer for a busy FMCG site in Newport, Monmouthshire. The role covers PPMs and breakdowns across three buildings, driving reliability, hygiene and performance while supporting facilities and site services.

You will be buddied on day shift for two months to onboard and familiarise yourself with the site, PLC upgrades and production requirements. A strong electrical or mechanical background is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a formal engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 or higher (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing desirable.
• On-site maintenance across three-shift operation with safety focus.

Aufgaben

• Provide effective maintenance across the site, including PPMs and breakdowns.
• Support facilities and site services, coordinating with production teams.
• Improve reliability, hygiene, quality and overall site performance.
• Adapt to a three-building site and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newport, Monmouthshire
Salary: £42,892 + 2.5 5% annual bonus
Shift: 3-shift rota (40 hours) 6am 2pm / 2pm 10pm / 10pm 6am (nights 1 in 3 with shift premium included)

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront at a well-established FMCG Food Manufacturing site. This is an exciting time to join a fast-paced production environment that has seen continued investment, including upgrades to PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley), and is expanding engineering support due to increased demand.

As the Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance service across the site, covering a mix of PPM and breakdowns, as well as supporting facilities and site services. You ll be working across a site with three buildings, supporting production by resolving breakdowns quickly, completing planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, hygiene, quality, and performance.

You will be buddied up on day shift for the first 2 months to support onboarding and site familiarisation.

• Must hold a formal engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 or higher (Electrical or Mechanical)

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG / Pharma environments
• Apprenticeship / ONC background
• Ex-Forces backgrounds welcomed
