Pioneer Selection Ltd is pleased to present a Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer role at a fast-paced FMCG Food Manufacturing site in Newport. You will provide an effective maintenance service across the site, handling PPM and breakdowns while supporting facilities and site services.

Working on a 3-shift rota (40 hours) with a 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am schedule and nights 1 in 3 with shift premiums.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 3 or higher (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG / Pharma environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective maintenance service across the site, covering a mix of PPM and breakdowns.
• Support facilities and site services.
• Resolve breakdowns quickly and complete planned maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement in reliability, hygiene, quality and performance.

This is an exciting time to join a fast-paced production environment that has seen continued investment, including upgrades to PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley), and is expanding engineering support due to increased demand.As the Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance service across the site, covering a mix of PPM and breakdowns, as well as supporting facilities and site services. You’ll be working across a site with three buildings, supporting production by resolving breakdowns quickly, completing planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, hygiene, quality, and performance.You will be buddied up on day shift for the first 2 months to support onboarding and site familiarisation.

Must hold a formal engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 or higher (Electrical or Mechanical)
