Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer at our Newport site. You will provide a proactive maintenance service across three buildings, covering PPMs, breakdowns, and site services to improve reliability, hygiene and quality.

You will start on day shift buddying for two months, with a 3-shift rota (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) and a salary of £42,892 plus 2.5–5% annual bonus. Experience in FMCG environments is desirable; NVQ Level 3 or higher is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective maintenance service across the site, covering a mix of PPM and breakdowns, and support facilities and site services.
• Work across three buildings to resolve breakdowns quickly, complete planned maintenance and drive continuous improvement in reliability, hygiene, quality and performance.

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront at a well-established FMCG Food Manufacturing site. This is an exciting time to join a fast-paced production environment that has seen continued investment, including upgrades to PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley), and is expanding engineering support due to increased demand.

As the Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing an effective maintenance service across the site, covering a mix of PPM and breakdowns, as well as supporting facilities and site services. You'll be working across a site with three buildings, supporting production by resolving breakdowns quickly, completing planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, hygiene, quality, and performance.

You will be buddied up on day shift for the first 2 months to support onboarding and site familiarisation.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Must hold a formal engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 or higher (Electrical or Mechanical)

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG / Pharma environments
• Apprenticeship / ONC background
• Ex-Forces backgrounds welcomed
