Yolk Recruitment are supporting a leading manufacturing business in the Northwest to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their high-volume production site near Blackburn. This role offers a stable, growing team and the chance to keep a modern facility running efficiently.

You will handle both reactive and planned maintenance across production and packaging equipment, contributing to line efficiency and uptime.

Qualificações

• Relevant engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/NVQ) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, production or FMCG environments.
• Strong fault finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Packaging machinery experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent organisational and multi-priority management skills.
• Good communication and collaborative approach.
• Solid IT skills for record keeping and reporting.
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn and develop.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
• Complete preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve faults quickly and effectively.
• Support production teams to maximise line efficiency and uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
• Assist with facilities maintenance and site improvements.
• Contribute to engineering projects and machinery upgrades.
• Manage spare parts stock and availability.
• Work safely and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Communicate technical issues clearly with internal teams.
• Lead small improvement projects where required.
