Yolk Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled) in Exeter, Devon. The role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of heavy industrial and automated equipment with strong earning potential and a substantial benefits package.

You’ll join a large engineering team at a globally recognised manufacturer, with funded training to develop both mechanical and electrical capabilities and clear long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience maintaining and fault-finding industrial/manufacturing machinery.
• Strong electrical or mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
• Three-phase systems, motors, drives, control panels and PLC-controlled equipment for electrical bias.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance across heavy industrial and automated machinery.
• Electrical fault finding on three-phase systems, motors, drives, panels, sensors and relays.
• Diagnose faults on PLC-controlled equipment and associated electrical systems.
• Mechanical maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, bearings, gearboxes and motors.
• Work with specialist production equipment, automated systems and complex assemblies.
• Identify and resolve equipment faults to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning projects.
• Contribute to maintenance practice improvements and equipment performance.
