Job summary

Zest in North Somerset is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly expanding site. You will maintain production machinery, diagnose faults, and support uptime across 12-hour shifts.

The role offers a strong growth path as new machinery and site upgrades are implemented. The ideal candidate has a solid electrical/mechanical engineering background, FMCG experience preferred, NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, and a proactive approach under pressure.

Qualifications

• Proven background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience in an FMCG environment preferred.
• Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Ensuring smooth operation of production facilities.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
• Minimising downtime by efficient breakdown management.
• Collaborating with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out site service maintenance when required.
