Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd in Bradford is seeking an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a well established manufacturing site.

Salary £52,000 per annum. The role features a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, electrical fault finding and continuous improvement to ensure maximum production uptime.

Qualifications

• Experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
• Confident with electrical fault finding and basic PLC exposure.
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance across the site.
• Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding on manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and service motors, sensors, inverters and control systems.
• Complete PPMs to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running.
• Support continuous improvement projects and site safety procedures.

Location: Bradford

Salary: £52,000 per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days & Nights

The Role

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing machinery
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Working with motors, sensors, inverters, contactors and control systems
• Basic PLC fault finding
• Carrying out PPMs to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Responding quickly to breakdowns to keep production running
• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

The Candidate

• Experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Strong electrical bias
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Recognised engineering qualification – ideally NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent
• Confident with electrical fault finding
• Good mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern
