Job summary

Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in Pontefract who are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

Location: Pontefract. Salary: £42,500 per annum. Shift: 4 on 4 off – Days. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault find on electrical and mechanical systems, and support improvements while ensuring safety and site procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
• Experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Confident with electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work a 4 on 4 off day shift.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing machinery.
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
• Carrying out PPMs and ensuring machinery is maintained to a high standard.
• Fault finding on motors, sensors, inverters and other electrical components.
• Mechanical maintenance including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings and gearboxes.
• Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

The Candidate

• Experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Recognised engineering qualification – ideally NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent
• Confident with both electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Strong breakdown and preventative maintenance experience
• Comfortable working a 4 on 4 off day shift
