Job summary

Questech Recruitment Ltd are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business in Leeds. You will maintain production machinery, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure safety at all times.

The role focuses on an electrical bias with responsibilities across electrical and mechanical fault finding. The position offers a salary of £40,000 - £42,000 per annum and a Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical/engineering qualification.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environment helpful.
• Able to fault find electrical and mechanical issues.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to keep production machinery running.
• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair breakdowns.
• Work with motors, sensors, inverters and control systems.
• Perform basic PLC fault finding and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery upgrades.
• Collaborate with production to ensure equipment remains operational.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across the site
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns on production machinery
• Working with motors, sensors, inverters and control systems
• Basic PLC fault finding
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
• Supporting continuous improvement and machinery upgrades
• Working closely with production to ensure equipment remains operational
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

The Ideal Candidate

• Is a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias
• Has experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Holds a relevant electrical/engineering qualification
• Is confident with electrical fault finding and breakdowns
• Has good mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Can work independently as well as part of an engineering team
