Job summary

Refresco Bridgwater is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our Somerset site running at peak capacity. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control faults, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across pallet wrappers, conveyors, pumps, silos, and packaging lines.

Applicants should have an L3 engineering qualification or time served, with a bias toward either electrical or mechanical work. FMCG experience is desirable; ex-military welcome.

Qualifications

• L3 engineering qualification or time served.
• Multi-skilled background – biased.
• Be accurate in daily tasks with attention to detail.
• Experience on processing equipment: pipework, pumps, silos, turning equipment.
• Fault finding in panels, sensors, relays, inverters, drives, motors, pumps, pneumatics, and pipework.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Engineering Team Leader, delivering a high-quality engineering service and rapidly diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, basic control, and instrumentation faults.
• Completing a full range of maintenance activities across the installed asset base within your work area.
• Continuously improving performance to deliver site efficiency and meet performance standards; participate in factory improvement projects.
