Job summary

MorePeople is seeking a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer near Thrapston, Northamptonshire. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance across a highly automated production line, fault finding, and hands-on improvements rather than simple resets.

You will work 4 on / 4 off with a 1 in 4 night rotation, in a workshop equipped with lathes, milling equipment, welding bays, and fabrication facilities to design and modify equipment.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience required.
• Experience with automated production and packaging equipment advantageous.
• Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding across automated lines.
• Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repair.
• Maintain and improve automated packaging machinery.
• Support installation of new equipment and modifications.
• Collaborate with production to minimise downtime and drive reliability.
