Shifts: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights)

Salary: £50,000

Lots of OT available and training provided.

The Role of the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

1. Responding to reactive breakdowns.
2. Fault finding, problem solving, and repair on manufacturing/production machinery to maximize plant reliability and performance.
3. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical plant equipment and components.
4. Providing on-shift electrical support to the maintenance/engineering team.
5. General site electrical facilities maintenance, including lighting checks and repairs, minor installations, and repair of electrical appliances and equipment.
6. Monitoring and controlling electrical spares.

Requirements for the Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

• NVQ 3 in Mechanical or Electrical; if mechanical, competence in electrical work is required.
• Previous industrial experience is essential.
• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in fault finding and diagnostics on automated electrical systems, including PLC logic (preferably Siemens), inverter drives, 3-phase motors, and control systems.
