Multi Skilled Engineer

Full time 4 on, 4 off - 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am (2 days/ 2 nights)

Location: Nantwich

Salary: £48,000-£53,000 per annum depending on experience

Job Description

Due to internal development, we have a vacancy for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Do you have engineering experience working within the Food or FMCG industry?

• Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule
• Carry out emergency breakdown repairs
• Follow up on tasks from PPM and order any spare parts required
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety/Food Safety standards at all times
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments in line with your daily tasks
• Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping
• Ensure production lines are running in optimum condition
• Assist in the installation of new equipment at the site
• Use and maintain the CMMS system
• Participate in development and upskilling initiatives where applicable
• Work on a variety of equipment
• Ensure equipment is set up and ready for shift start

Skills & Experience

• Trained to Level 3 and hold a relevant qualification in Engineering (HNC/HND) or have equivalent work experience in a similar environment
• Basic knowledge of food production lines/process machinery from experience within FMCG/food industry
• Proficient in PC use (Word/Excel)
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault-finding diagnostics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Continuous Improvement & Lean methodologies
