Multi Skilled Engineer

Position Type: Full-time, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am, 2 days/2 nights)

Location: Nantwich

Salary: GBP48,000 - GBP53,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer due to internal development. The ideal candidate will have engineering experience within the Food or FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule.
2. Carry out emergency breakdown repairs.
3. Follow up on tasks from PPM and order spare parts as required.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards at all times.
5. Conduct dynamic risk assessments aligned with daily tasks.
6. Maintain and improve hygiene and housekeeping standards.
7. Ensure production lines operate in optimal condition.
8. Assist in the installation of new equipment on site.
9. Utilize and maintain the CMMS system.
10. Engage in development and upskilling opportunities.
11. Work on a variety of equipment and machinery.
12. Ensure equipment is set up and ready at the start of each shift.

Skills & Experience

• Trained to Level 3 with relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND) or equivalent work experience in a similar environment.
• Basic knowledge of food production lines/process machinery from FMCG/food industry experience.
• Proficient in PC applications (Word, Excel).
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
