Job description

Multi Skilled Engineer

Full time 4 on, 4 off - 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am (2 days/2 nights)
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: GBP48,000-GBP53,000 per annum depending on experience

Due to internal development, we have a vacancy for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in the Food or FMCG industry.

1. Planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule
2. Emergency breakdown repairs
3. Following up tasks from PPM and ordering spare parts as required
4. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety/Food Safety standards at all times
5. Carrying out dynamic risk assessments based on daily tasks
6. Maintaining and improving hygiene and housekeeping standards
7. Ensuring production lines operate in optimum condition
8. Assisting in the installation of new equipment at the site
9. Using and maintaining the CMMS system
10. Developing skills and upskilling where applicable
11. Working on a variety of equipment

Additional responsibilities include ensuring equipment is set up and ready for each shift.

Skills & Experience

• Trained to Level 3 with relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND) or equivalent work experience in a similar environment
• Basic knowledge of food production lines/process machinery from FMCG/food industry experience
• Proficient in PC use (Word/Excel)
• Experience in troubleshooting and fault-finding diagnostics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Continuous Improvement & Lean methodologies
