Luton Bennett is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Rochester-based site. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated packaging lines, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 12:00 to 24:00 and no call-outs.

You will work in a manufacturer with 75+ years of history, offering security, overtime at 1.25x, a pension, and a Christmas bonus. A Level 3 engineering qualification and manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Multiskilled maintenance engineer desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical repairs to packaging equipment, including conveyors, PLCs, weighers and wrappers.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs; assist in implementing a preventive maintenance schedule.

Maintenance Engineer required for a well‑established fresh food producer with a company history of over 75 years who supplies into leading retailers. This is a great opportunity to join an expanding business that can offer longevity and security.

The successful candidate will be a level 3 qualified engineer (or equivalent) and will have experience working within a manufacturing environment and candidates from any sector are encouraged to apply.

Joining an expanding engineering team, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs to packaging equipment, including working with conveyors, PLCs, weighers, wrappers, etc. The role is predominantly reacting to breakdowns and carrying out repairs and the company are looking to introduce a PPM schedule.

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Role:
