An award-winning British food manufacturer with over a century of craftsmanship is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its dedicated team. Operating as a successful business, they combine traditional values with modern engineering to produce premium products which are distributed globally. The role is based at a well-invested facility, easily commutable from Nottingham, Melton Mowbray and Grantham.
Role and Responsibilities
- Carry out robust PPM schedules and review them for effectiveness.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to implement effective repairs.
- Identify, develop and implement improvement projects across the site’s equipment.
- Utilise Root Cause Analysis techniques to prevent recurring engineering issues.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and capital projects.
- Work under the guidance of the shift lead, completing all allocated tasks efficiently.
- Document all completed works, reports and data accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety procedures, hygiene standards and company rules.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ideally apprentice-trained as a Multi-Skilled Engineer or Time Served Engineer.
- Proven engineering experience working within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong, up-to-date awareness of workplace Health & Safety legislation and procedures.
- Adaptable and flexible mindset to meet seasonal business demands and fluctuating production requirements.
- High self-motivation with the ability to work independently using your own initiative.
- Industrious work ethic with the capability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Eligible to work in the UK with the relevant right to work documentation.
