Job summary

Jackson Hogg Ltd are supporting a longstanding client in recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis in the North East. The role offers two shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) with excellent salary, overtime and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will maintain manufacturing assets, perform monthly PPM, support TPM, lead root-cause analysis and help upgrade plant systems, with a bias toward electrical discipline but open to mechanical

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with recognised apprenticeship.
• Experience across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on plant/equipment.
• Maintenance in high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Has 18th Edition.
• Electrical bias preferred but mechanical acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Monthly PPM adherence for manufacturing and site assets
• TPM support for production operatives
• First point of contact to achieve SLA for reactive maintenance, change overs where applicable
• To support the upkeep and maintenance of shared site facilities, i.e. compressors, boilers, water treatment plant, lighting, etc.
• Responsible for leading problem solving activities to solve repeat equipment related issues
• Ensuring machines are in a safe working condition when handed back to production
• Involvement in new technology research
• PLC integration to help identify root cause of breakdowns

We are ideally looking for an electrical leaning candidate but we will consider mechanical bias too as there are plenty of training and development opporutnities on offer.

• Able to demonstrate competence in a wide range of engineering skills and disciplines including electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills on wide range of plant and equipment
• Proven maintenance experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment.

• Ideally electrical bias but we will also consider mechanical
