Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and emergency maintenance, focusing on electrical and automation systems.
• Diagnose faults using PLC/HMI systems, alarms, instruments and electrical test equipment.
• Repair electrical and control equipment including motors, sensors, safety circuits, drives, encoders and servo systems.
• Support control-system upgrades and keep related documentation up to date.
• Carry out routine checks and safety checks.
• Keep maintenance records in the site's maintenance management system.
• Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of new or modified equipment.
• Take part in training to develop skills across different equipment and maintenance areas.

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a leading UK manufacturing company based in Coalville? This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting continuous improvement across the site. Offering a salary of c£55 working Panama shifts days & nights. Ongoing training will be provided to help you develop and improve your mechanical or electrical skills, depending on your strengths and experience. There is also a clear opportunity to progress into a Team Leader role within 2 years for engineers looking to take the next step in their career.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:

• Carry out planned and emergency maintenance, focusing on electrical and automation systems
• Diagnose faults using PLC/HMI systems, alarms, instruments and electrical test equipment
• Repair electrical and control equipment including motors, sensors, safety circuits, drives, encoders and servo systems
• Support control-system upgrades and keep all related documentation up to date
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, testing, adjustments, calibration checks and safety checks
• Complete routine checks and basic maintenance on site services including boilers, compressors, chillers, fire and sprinkler systems and water hygiene
• Investigate recurring faults, identify their causes, and work with Production and Engineering to prevent them from happening again.
• Keep accurate maintenance records in the site's maintenance management system
• Support the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of new or modified equipment
• Take part in training to develop skills across different equipment and maintenance areas

Suitable Candidates:

• Apprentice Trained Maintenance Engineer. Qualified to NVQ Level 3
• Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience
• Strong team player
• Manufacturing experience ideally from packaging/food/FMCG
• Willingness to drive continuous improvements
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations
• Flexible, team-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
