Our client is an independent family-owned manufacturing company. We are recruiting an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy team.

The Job

1. Attend to mechanical faults and carry out reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing machinery.
2. Work collaboratively with team members.
3. Set standards on machines and train others.
4. Assist in machine setup.
5. Perform fault diagnosis.
6. Work well under pressure, with excellent attention to detail.
7. Diagnose mechanical breakdowns efficiently.
8. Minimize downtime to ensure production continuity.

Requirements

• Recognized mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Experienced engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Familiarity with textile manufacturing machinery is advantageous.
• Ability to respond quickly to breakdowns independently.

Hours: Rotating shifts Monday-Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm, with weekend call-outs on a rota basis.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary circa £40,000 per annum plus overtime, with secure and interesting employment.
