Job summary

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Nights

Our client is an award-winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company. We are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy Nights Shift team.

The Job
  • Attend to mechanical faults and carry out reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing machinery.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and train others on machine setup and improvements.
  • Assist in machine setup and fault diagnosis.
  • Diagnose mechanical breakdowns efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Set standards on machines and contribute to improvements.
Requirements
  • Recognized mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Experienced engineer with a background in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Familiarity with textile manufacturing machinery is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breakdowns.

Hours of Work: Nights, with weekend call-outs on a rota basis.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary up to £46,000 per annum plus overtime, along with secure and interesting employment.
