Job summary

Pioneer Selection is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a brand-new food manufacturing plant in Elson, Shropshire. The role involves electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and executing PPM tasks within a high-growth site.

On a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets while pursuing long-term development

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Engineering qualification in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely.
• Perform pre-planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks and contribute to reliability improvements.

Overview

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer | Location: Elson, Shropshire | Salary: £48,000 – £50,000 | Shift: 4 on 4 off (days and nights). This role is based in a brand-new fast-growing food manufacturing plant within a leading FMCG business. It offers progression, training, and long-term development as part of a heavily invested, high-growth site. You will carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, respond to breakdowns, complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks, and support continuous improvement across modern production equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore production quickly and safely.

Requirements

• Non-negotiable: multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with pre-planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory setting.
• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
• Experience with working on PLCs, ideally fault-finding using inputs and outputs.
