Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in FMCG / manufacturing.
• Proven ability in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship was completed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability through systematic fault analysis.
• Use CMMS to record maintenance activity and support ISO 9001:2000 standards.

Job Role:

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing faults and carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment within a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role focuses on reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability and supporting continuous improvement through effective fault analysis and maintenance planning. The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will use planned maintenance systems to prioritise work, liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support and parts, analyse recurring breakdown trends, and accurately record all engineering activity using an electronic maintenance management system, while working in line with ISO 9001:2000 quality standards and departmental 5S programmes.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG industry
• Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
• Recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
• Willingness to work in a cold environment

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• IOSHH and/or NEBOSH certification
• Experience reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
