Job summary

Gpw Recruitment is partnering with a busy manufacturing site in North Wales to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will work on automated production equipment, diagnosing faults and performing preventative maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.

You'll need a solid electrical background, industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently or with a team, including rotating day and night shifts in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• A background in industrial maintenance engineering.
• Electrical engineering qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience diagnosing electrical faults within manufacturing equipment.
• Good mechanical engineering and repair skills.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programmes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team.
• Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment and machinery.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Respond efficiently to machinery breakdowns, ensuring production disruption is kept to a minimum.
• Maintain and repair equipment including motors, drives, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings and pneumatic systems.
• Support engineering improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with production teams to identify recurring faults and implement practical solutions.
• Assist with machinery upgrades and site improvement projects.
• Provide technical support to production colleagues.
• Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records.
