Job summary

Greenyard Frozen UK in Boston is seeking an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias to join our engineering team. You will respond to equipment breakdowns, carry out scheduled maintenance, and work to reduce downtime across processing operations.

The role requires formal qualifications in both mechanical and electrical engineering, boiler experience, PLC fault finding, HACCP knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with production staff while maintaining high H&S

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG/food processing/manufacturing environments.
• Strong bias toward electrical engineering while retaining mechanical skills.
• Formal qualification in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Boiler operating experience.
• HACCP familiarity.
• PLC fault finding/diagnostic skills.
• Welding and PLC training.
• Breathing apparatus and confined spaces qualification.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance across processing operations.
• Fault find using machine histories and documentation to identify root causes.
• Support production by focusing on the nominated area and improving uptime.
• Carry out engineering project work to support process improvements.
• Work flexibly with operational staff and build harmonious relations.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and safety.
• Overtime to cover absence or holidays as required.

We ae seeking an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias to join our engineering team at Greenyard Frozen UK, based at our site in Boston The Role

• To support the processing operations by responding effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults
• To respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area
• To fault find in an effective and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines historic / information documentation
• To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them
• Pro-active in the reduction of engineering downtime and continuous improvement of the process and the department
• Carry out engineering project work
• Other relevant duties as required from time to time.
• Relevant experience within a FMCG/food processing/ manufacturing environment
• Relevant experience in industrial and electrical engineering (multi skilled) but stronger bias in electrical
• Formal qualification in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Boiler operating experience
