Job summary

Talent Rockit Ltd in Wiltshire is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support team. You will work on reactive and preventive maintenance on automated production equipment, and participate in a double daytime shift with an on-call weekend rota.

The role requires an industrial electrical qualification and experience in manufacturing, with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to read diagrams.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical qualification required with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience as a shift engineer or multiskilled maintenance in manufacturing.
• Good fault finding and diagnostic skills; able to read diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance on automated production machinery.
• Pre-planned maintenance (PPM) routines and RM programs.
• Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Support continuous improvement to maintain machine efficiency.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and stores.
• Support Operations to achieve targets and safety policies.
• Participate in weekend on-call rota.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We’re working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week and is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.

Contract: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift – 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm

Participation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5).

Location: nr Chippenham, Wiltshire

Salary: Circa £47,500 (including £3500 annual on call allowance) plus overtime

• The position's responsibilities are:Reactive Maintenance on automated production machineryPre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routinesMechanical fault findingElectrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems)Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systemsSmall installation projectsContinuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiencyTo keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and storesSupport the Operations team in achieving targetsComplying to the company's Health and Safety policies and proceduresContributing to cost effective technical solutionsDeliver to the operational expectationsBe part of a weekend call-out rota

• A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) is preferredHave experience working as a Shift Engineer or as a dedicated Electrical or Multiskilled Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical, print, packaging or related industries would be helpful.Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering diagramsExperience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes.Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer.Have good communication, organisational and team work skills.Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination.

Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
