Vibe Recruit is working with a successful FMCG business in the UK seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical or mechanical bias. This hands-on role focuses on electrical fault finding, planned maintenance and continuous improvement to minimise downtime.
You will work with production teams to keep equipment safe, reliable and efficient, performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance and responding quickly to breakdowns. Weekly rotating shifts apply.
Our client is a successful and rapidly growing FMCG business who are proud to have recently been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the UK's fastest growing companies, reflecting the continued growth and success of their business.
As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers with an electrical or mechanical bias to join their engineering team.
This is a hands-on engineering role for a time-served engineer with excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to work across both electrical and mechanical equipment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works safely and professionally, and wants to become a valued member of our engineering team.
As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our production equipment operates safely, reliably and efficiently.
The role has a strong electrical maintenance and fault finding focus, with responsibility for responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Although the role is electrically biased, you will also be required to undertake mechanical maintenance and repair work. We are therefore looking for someone who is genuinely multi-skilled and enjoys working hands-on within a busy manufacturing environment.
You will work closely with the Production and Operations teams to ensure that equipment issues are resolved quickly and effectively, helping us maintain production performance and minimise downtime.
The position operates on a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern:
Week 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm
Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
Some overtime outside normal shift hours will be required to support planned maintenance, production requirements and occasional breakdowns. Flexibility around working hours is therefore an important part of the role.
£42,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
