Job summary

Your Housing Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Joiner/Floor Layer to join our Repairs and Maintenance Division in the North West. The role covers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, working in Warrington, Wigan and surrounding areas, with travel to properties across the region.

You will carry out joinery and flooring repairs and replacements, delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, experience at height, and a full UK

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised qualification(s)
• Experience working safely at height and using appropriate access equipment
• Experience in carrying out property maintenance and repair works to a high standard
• Experience in additional trades would be highly beneficial
• Basic health and safety knowledge within a repairs and maintenance environment
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Full UK Driving Licence (ideally no more than 6 points)

Responsibilities

• Carry out Joinery and flooring repairs and replacements to a wide range of residential properties
• Diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and help proactively prevent future maintenance problems
• Carry out inspections
• Identify defects, recommend and complete appropriate repairs
• Complete maintenance works where required
• Use access equipment and work safely at height in accordance with company procedures
• Record completed works accurately using our job management system
• Ensure company vehicles, equipment and tools are in a safe and serviceable condition
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent Your Housing Group professionally at all times
• Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

Salary: £36,089.55 plus van and fuel, increasing to £37,460.95 following successful probation

Contract: Permanent

Location: Warrington and Wigan

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours. Mon - Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Joiner/Floor Layer to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division and provide a high-quality Joinery and Floor Laying, repairs and replacement service.

What will my working week look like?

This role is based on a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

You will work within the Warrington and Wigan area and also be able to cover properties across the North West region. You will also need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will be responsible for carrying out Joinery and flooring repairs and replacements to a wide range of residential properties

You'll be working across multiple locations, diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs, and helping to proactively prevent future maintenance problems. No two days are the same, and you'll be able to see first-hand the positive impact your work has on our customers.

In addition, you will:
