Job summary

Your Housing Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Joiner to support the Repairs and Maintenance division across Merseyside, Wigan and Warrington. You will carry out joinery repairs in empty homes and contribute to a high quality service while traveling within the region as required.

The role requires NVQ3 or equivalent, a clean UK driving license, and a customer-focused approach. Competitive salary with a van, fuel and a strong benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognised competency/qualification within the Joinery field.
• Experience of undertaking additional repairs and maintenance outside of a Joinery skill set.
• Experience of working as a Joiner within the housing sector would be of real interest.
• Basic health and safety knowledge in a repairs environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence (ideally no more than 6 points).

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Joiner to join Your Housing Groups Repairs and Maintenance Division in the Empty Homes Team and provide a high-quality Joinery and associated repair and replacement service throughout Merseyside /Wigan and Warrington and the surrounding areas.

Although we try to base our operatives closest to their home location it may still be required for you to travel to other locations due to business requirements.

What will my working week look like?

Ideally, you will live within or close to your regional area of work and be based within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses when needed.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, working as part of the Empty Homes repairs division, you will undertake repairs and maintenance in our empty properties.

You’ll be performing a vital Joinery role inside these properties ensuring that all Joinery works required are completed to the highest standards.

You will be confident and capable, ensuring all work undertaken is completed with due regard for quality, productivity, and safety.
