About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Joiner to join our Empty Homes Repairs Team, primarily covering homes in Crawley, Woking, Brighton, and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, 39 hours per week, permanent position. Our team also covers empty homes in Havant and surrounding areas, and occasional travel to this location may be required.

What we’re looking for

We’re a customer-focused organisation, so how we do things is just as important as what we do. You’ll be a fully qualified and experienced Joiner with skills in plumbing, plastering, decorating, tiling, flooring, skirting, and vinyl floor laying.

Essential Skills/Experience:

1. Demonstrable competence in the primary trade.
2. Multi-trade skills enabling first-visit repairs (first-time fix).
3. Experience working in a customer-focused environment with performance targets.
4. Ability to work methodically, follow procedures, and record data accurately.
5. Ability to work independently with good organisational and time management skills.
6. Problem-solving skills and the ability to seek advice when needed.
7. Physical capability to perform tasks and lift weights safely, following Health and Safety guidelines.
8. Safe operation considering environmental circumstances and risks.
9. Demonstration of the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

1. Experience working within the social housing sector.

Essential Qualifications:

1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent competency in the required trade.
