About the role

Our Technical Services department are critical in keeping our airport running. As a Multi Skilled Facilities Technician you will be responsible for providing building management services and supporting the infrastructure of the airport. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining the X-Rays, baggage system, HVAC and all electrical and plumbing works throughout the site.
• Maintaining the building services and fabric in line with ACoPs, national guidelines, and company procedures.
• Maintaining a detailed register of the site system failures, their causes and their effects.
• Maintaining a detailed register of the airport's mechanical assets along with associated drawings and schematics.
• Identifying and reporting the need for major repairs.
• Liaising with third party contractors.
• Fully embodying the Airport's ‘One Team’ culture and understanding that there may be times when you are required to undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.
• Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, with the understanding that the Airport operates 24/7, meaning you may be scheduled to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To undertake this critical role within our airport, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Level 3 technical qualification in building services, engineering or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Experience working within building services, facilities management or maintenance engineering.
• Competency in raising and working under permits to work/sanctions to test.
• Competency in working from complex system drawings and schematics.
• Experience in fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
