Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Fire Door Carpenter to join our growing South West team on a hospitality sector contract. You will inspect, maintain and repair fire doors, producing clear reports and compliant documentation while liaising with clients on technical requirements.

Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry with strong carpentry skills, a full UK driving licence, and experience using job management systems and mobile devices. Long-term career progression available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
• Strong carpentry and general maintenance experience.
• Good knowledge of fire door regulations and certification processes.
• Experience inspecting, repairing and remedial works on fire doors.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to produce clear reports and documentation.
• IT skills and experience using mobile devices and job management systems.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to work on a dedicated hospitality sector contract, carrying out fire door inspections, maintenance, repairs and compliance works. Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs and remedial works in line with current regulations and legislation.
• Assess work requirements and prepare accurate quotations for labour and materials.
• Liaise directly with clients, providing technical guidance and explaining compliance requirements.
• Inspect, certify and sign off completed works to the required standards.
• Complete and maintain accurate job records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Upload photographs, certification and supporting documentation to company systems.
• Support account management and billing teams by resolving client queries and providing job-related information.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
