Job summary

RG Setsquare, a leading construction and facilities management contractor, seeks an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join its compliance and maintenance team on a hospitality contract. You will maintain, repair and certify fire doors to ensure compliance with current legislation and building regulations.

This is a stable, long-term role with ongoing training, a company vehicle, pension and real progression opportunities within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Proven carpentry, maintenance and repair experience.
• Knowledge of fire door regulations and certification requirements.
• Experience inspecting fire doors and performing remedial repairs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to produce accurate reports, notes and documentation.
• Competent with tablets, mobile devices and job management systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door maintenance, repairs and remedial works in line with fire safety legislation.
• Inspect existing fire doors and identify remedial actions.
• Prepare quotations detailing labour and materials.
• Liaise with clients and explain fire door compliance requirements.
• Certify completed works and provide all compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records, notes and photographic evidence.
• Upload reports and supporting documents for audit trail.
• Assist Account Managers and Billing Team with job queries to support invoicing.
