Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire door carpenter to join our client's team, focusing on remedials or installations in occupied domestic properties across the area.

You will carry out day-to-day maintenance, ensure compliance with H&S and fire door regulations, and provide high-quality service in tenancy blocks. This is a long-running role with ongoing support and potential for permanent progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ or City & Guilds L2 in carpentry or related trade.
• Experience in social housing or domestic property repairs.
• Awareness of fire regulations in carpentry and fire doors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out remedials on fire doors in tenanted and void properties and communal areas.
• Deliver high-quality maintenance in occupied properties.
• Complete remedial works in line with H&S policies and regulations.
• Maintain excellent customer service during visits.

Hours:Monday to Friday
Rate:£25 per hour CIS, or pricework
Perks:Weekly pay, option to do pricework to earn more £££

About the Role

Build Recruitment is currently seeking an experiencedFire door carpenters to join our client's passive fire teams, focussing on either remedials or installations. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within occupied domestic properties, carrying out day-to-day upgrades and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of remedials on firedoors in domestic tenanted and void properties, and also communal areas in tower blocks across the City.
• Deliver high-quality maintenance in occupied properties
• Complete necessary remedial works in line with company H&S Policies and ensuring they are compliant to regulations.
• Maintain excellent customer service throughout your visits.

Requirements

• NVQ or City & Guilds L2 in any relevant trade
• Previous experience in social housing, council, or domestic property repairs
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Awareness of fire regulation within carpentry & fire doors
