Job summary

Zest is seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in the Gainsborough area for a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs on a range of machinery, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

• Experience maintaining equipment in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across machinery and plant equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety policies and company policies.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and update the CMMS system.
• Support continuous improvement projects.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of machinery and plant equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and performing reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing faults and identifying root causes to minimise downtime
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and updating the CMMS system
• Supporting continuous improvement projects

What we're looking for

• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Sound electrical knowledge with mechanical competence
• Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive attitude with strong fault-finding skills
