Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support planned and reactive maintenance at Barnsley Blood Centre. You will perform electrical maintenance, fault-finding and minor installations while ensuring safety and compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Proven knowledge of electrical systems, plant and control equipment

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, repairs and minor installations across the site.
• Complete testing, fault-finding and diagnosis activities, ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist with wiring, calibration and alignment tasks while using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Follow safe systems of work, including lock-off/tag-off procedures, and maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, support housekeeping standards and actively participate in toolbox talks and site safety initiatives.
