Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support planned and reactive electrical maintenance at Barnsley Blood Centre. You will help ensure critical facilities remain safe, compliant and operational as part of a professional team.

The role requires experience in maintenance environments, a proactive approach, and a strong commitment to health and safety. You will work both independently and with colleagues to deliver high-quality electrical work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance in a facilities or engineering environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated with strong organisational skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, repairs and minor installations across the site.
• Complete testing, fault-finding and diagnosis activities, ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently.
• Assist with wiring, calibration and alignment tasks while using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Follow safe systems of work, including lock-off/tag-off procedures, and maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, support housekeeping standards and actively participate in toolbox talks and site safety initiatives.
• Proven knowledge of electrical systems, plant and control equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance procedures.
