Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join the manufacturing site in Brandon. The role supports production machinery, performing maintenance, fault-finding and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

The successful candidate will have strong multiskilled experience, strong fault-finding abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multiskilled maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working with production machinery and industrial equipment.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently to resolve problems.
• Proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Relevant engineering qualifications, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding and repairs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain and repair machinery, equipment and production systems.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Support production to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Identify recurring faults and implement improvements to prevent future breakdowns.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability across the site.

Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer to join their engineering team at their manufacturing site in Brandon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background to join an established manufacturing operation, supporting the smooth running of production machinery and equipment.

Working as part of the engineering team, you will play an important role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimising downtime and ensuring production targets are achieved.

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.

• Maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment and production systems.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer with a strong practical engineering background, ideally gained within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a multiskilled maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working with production machinery and industrial equipment.

Rate of Pay
