Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Technician to maintain and improve plant performance in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and implement solutions to minimise downtime, working with production teams to drive reliability and safety.

Experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance and knowledge of CMMS systems will be valuable.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with experience in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Strong fault‑finding skills and hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently in a pressurised environment.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance systems is desirable.
• Controls/PLC knowledge would be advantageous.

Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include carrying out planned preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, fault finding, and implementing effective engineering solutions to minimise downtime. You will work closely with production and operational teams to support reliability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across site. The role will also involve using a CMMS system to manage maintenance activities, contributing to equipment modifications and installations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering, quality, and safety standards.

Person

The successful candidate will be a qualified engineer with previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and a strong background in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. You should possess excellent fault-finding skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to work independently in a pressurised environment. Experience with planned preventive maintenance systems and controls/PLC knowledge would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement are essential.
