Job summary

A Multi-Skilled Technician role is available at a global manufacturing facility in the Near East Ridings area of the UK. The role focuses on maintaining and improving plant performance in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning preventive maintenance, fault resolution, and process improvements.

A CMMS system is used to manage maintenance activities. The successful candidate will have strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience, a proactive approach to problem

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills and practical problem solving.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance and PLC knowledge is advantageous.

A global manufacturer and market leader in high-performance building solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to join its engineering team at a busy manufacturing facility. Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities will include carrying out planned preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, fault finding, and implementing effective engineering solutions to minimise downtime. You will work closely with production and operational teams to support reliability, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across site. The role will also involve using a CMMS system to manage maintenance activities, contributing to equipment modifications and installations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering, quality, and safety standards.

Person

The successful candidate will be a qualified engineer with previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and a strong background in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. You should possess excellent fault-finding skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to work independently in a pressurised environment. Experience with planned preventive maintenance systems and controls/PLC knowledge would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement are essential.
