Hours of work: 12 Hour Day shifts, working 6am – 6pm:
Week 1 = Working Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat (Wed & Thu off)
Week 2 = Working Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun off)
Salary: Up to £39,431.15 (dependent upon skills and experience – inclusive of shift allowance)

The job role
Our Herreschoff Kiln site produces soft calcined kaolin which is produced using continuous multiple hearth calciner technology. This site produces two products - Polestar 200P and Polestar 200R serving high value Pharmaceutical Rubber, Polymers, Paints and Plastic Markets.
Joining our Maintenance Team; you’ll be responsible for providing mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills to maximise plant and equipment availability.
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer the main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Carry out routine preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance
Fault finding, diagnostic and installation work
Calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems
Carry out Risk assessments and ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards
Ordering site spares
Working from height and in confined spaces.
The site operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; once fully competent, you will be required to join a rota system to provide out-of-hours support.

You will:
Have a background from within a production/ heavy industrial environment with mechanical and electrical experience of fixed processing plant and equipment. Experience of working with/ on pumps, welding, mills, burners/furnaces/gas, intrusive chemical work and centrifuges is essential.
In addition, you’ll:
Have an apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Have a strong HSE ethos
Be proficient in the use of IT
Legally be able to drive in the UK
