Air Conditioning Engineer (HVAC) - Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £50,000 (including Van, 25 days plus Bank Holidays, overtime, and excellent benefits)

Location: Exeter and surrounding areas

A market leader in the Facilities Maintenance sector is seeking an Air Conditioning and Multi Skilled Engineer to operate in Exeter and nearby regions. The role involves working with high street retailers and banking clients in a mobile position. The company offers excellent benefits, competitive remuneration, and high staff retention.

Job Purpose

As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining building AC/HVAC systems, performing Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive Maintenance, conducting diagnostic checks, and fault finding.

You will also undertake general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and toilet blockages, to support the maintenance team. Participation in out-of-hours call-out rotations and accurate completion of work documentation are required.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on HVAC systems and equipment
• Refrigeration or Air Conditioning specific qualifications (not F-Gas), such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning and Small Refrigeration, City & Guilds Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (7189) Level 2 or 3, or Refrigeration, Air-conditioning, and Heat Pump Systems (6090) Level 3
• F-Gas Category 1 certification (City & Guilds 2079, previously 2078)
• At least 5 years' experience in an air conditioning service role (not installation)
• Experience with packaged or air handling equipment, split systems, and commercial equipment (not domestic)
• C&G 236 Part 1 & 2, BS7671 Electrical Regulations, and C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing (preferred)
