Job summary

Saica Group in Livingston, Scotland is recruiting a Permanent Multi-skilled Engineer with an electrical bias and strong mechanical skills. You will work on a 3-shift rotation: Early, Night, Backshift, plus one weekend every six weeks, leading on electrical issues and staying aligned with safety and hygiene standards.

You will minimise downtime through proactive maintenance, assist with new equipment installations and supervise contractors as needed. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 17th or 18th Edition certified/qualified.
• At least 5 years experience in production manufacturing.
• Ability to problem solve in a structured manner.
• Familiar with Preventative Maintenance schedules and the use of Planned and Preventative Maintenance software.
• Experience supervising Contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-shift for electrical issues across the site and follow safety procedures (BRC).
• Minimise machine downtime through Planned and Preventative Maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment and supervise Contractors when needed.
• Work flexibly within the Engineering Maintenance team to cover shifts.
• Operate on-site powered vehicles as required.

Their purpose is to work flexibly within the team to minimise machine downtime through effective Planned and Preventative Maintenance as well as supporting with the installation of new equipment and supervising Contractors when needed.
