Job summary

SAICA PACK UK Ltd is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager at the Warrenpoint site to lead and drive cultural change through Saica ECO programmes and processes. You will support and guide lean initiatives, quality and safety-focused improvements, and cross-functional collaboration within production.

The role emphasizes developing, implementing, and sustaining continuous improvement plans, training staff, and reporting on status indicators for CI projects across the plant.

Qualifications

Job: Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Manager based at our Warrenpoint site and reporting to the Plant Manager. This role will be to develop, improve and drive cultural change in the business through support and guidance using Saica ECO programmes and processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates organisational wide efforts to ensure that business improvement programmes are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities on improvement without compromising on safety or service.
• Develops and communicates the strategic vision, scope and mission of the business improvement program and ensures business improvement initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational effectiveness or quality control efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Co-ordinate and provide support for the application of work methods (definition, implementation and carrying out of audits)
• Co-ordinate the development of the continuous improvement processes within production.
• Implement, encourage and sustain the group management system in the production area. (TQM and Lean)
• Co-ordinate the development of existing and new continuous improvement plans.
• Use continuous improvement tools to solve process issues and imbalances. (capacities, flows, etc.)
• Training of employees in all aspects related to continuous improvement.
• Participate in Group meetings in relation to continuous improvement.
• Definition and maintenance of status indicators for continuous improvement projects in the plant.
• Identify training needs of the staff and coordinate the implementation of the training using the defined methodology.
• Problem solving.
• Completion of standard UKI Reports.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 2 years of comparable experience
• Experience of delivering business improvement programmes e.g. lean, six sigma

Desirable Criteria

• 3rd level qualification - Business or Engineering Degree
• Experience of working in a production environment
