Job summary

Leeds area-based Maintenance Engineer role in a leading food manufacturer is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement. The position is permanent days shift with a salary around £51,000.

You will carry out planned maintenance on production equipment, respond to breakdowns, and work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives preferred but not essential.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Our leading food manufacturer with sites situated across the UK is looking for an Multi Skilled engineer to join there team. As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
• Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical elements of the plant
• Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues

Ideal Candidate:
