Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative for the Ministry of Justice contract in the South of England. You will be working across multiple sites to maintain facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and installation of new plant, with a focus on safety and accurate record-keeping. NVQ3 or equivalent and relevant maintenance experience are required.

We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Ministry of Justice contract based in the South of England.

You’ll be working across various sites, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and operating efficiently. What will you be responsible for?

As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you’ll be working within the MoJ Mobile South team, supporting them in delivering customer-focused and cost-effective maintenance services. Your day to day will include:

• Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance and minor repair works
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on systems and plant equipment
• Installing new plant and equipment when required
• Working safely in accordance with work instructions and method statements, completing all paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintaining the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas
