HAMILTON ROWE Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious site in White City, London. The role covers PPM, reactive maintenance and fault finding across electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, working on a supportive on-site team.

The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds/NVQ in Electrical Installations, with strong fault-finding skills and experience in commercial building services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across the site.

• Maintain emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Operate and respond to alarms via the Building Management System (BMS).
• Maintain AHUs, FCUs, VAV/VRF systems, generators and pumps.
• Record maintenance activities and assist with audits and quotations.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

White City, London

Up to £48,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded building services provider at a prestigious site in White City, London.

This privately owned company has a strong reputation for investing in its employees, providing ongoing training, and creating genuine opportunities for long-term career progression. You’ll be joining a supportive on-site team of four engineers, responsible for maintaining both landlord and tenant areas across the building.

The role offers a varied workload, combining planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and general building services duties across electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs, replacements, and installations.
• Work safely with both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
• Maintain and test emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to alarms through the Building Management System (BMS).
• Carry out maintenance and servicing of AHUs, FCUs, VAV/VRF systems, generators, and associated equipment.
• Maintain pumps, motors, cooling towers, and other mechanical plant.
• Support water treatment activities, including testing, dosing, and inspections.
• Maintain accurate site records, including logbooks, maintenance reports, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor and oversee contractors working on-site.
• Assist with site audits, technical reports, and quotations where required.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.

Requirements

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level qualification in Electrical Installations, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Electrical apprenticeship background is preferred.
• Previous experience working within commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Experience working with or around BMS, generators, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and VAV/VRF systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable dealing with clients, contractors, and other site stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team.
